After 3 flights, with 14 hours of air time and 4 hrs of layover, I arrived in Copenhagen. Woot woot!! So far I have: learned that cobble stones don't make for easy suitcase rolling, made a couple friends, bought my bus pass for 300+ DKK, got a cell phone [feel free to txt/call me: (+45) 3097 4464, lol its free for me but not for you lol], picked up my textbooks, went grocery shopping which involved asking a friendly Dane for directions, met my roommate from Romania, started unpacking my clothes and moving into my room, found old pee stains on the bed pad provided for me by the DIS program &thus decided to go without it for the next three weeks, tried the coca-cola here (its not that great), became acquainted with the spider that shares my room and now have settled in with my computer and nutella and pretzels. Yay for long run-on sentences &being too lazy to edit it. :]
We have an "opening ceremony" tmrw morning & a field trip to the Esrum Abbey which will be fun. Then at night there'll be a social with the other DIS peeps! :) So I'm thinking that tomorrow should be a good day. I'm hoping the weather will be nicer tomorrow and much less windyy because today the weather was quite bipolar. It kept quickly changing from being dark &rainy to being super sunny and then back to rainy again. Although, to its credit, the weather decided that it wanted to be consistently windy, which didn't make for a very good hair day. =[ but whatevs lol
things still to do:
-find the bike rental system and rent a bike! :)
-make use the disgusting toilet by my room
-finish unpacking the rest of my stuff
-take a shower in our creepy bathroom
-watch a World Cup game with some Danes..via television since I sadly don't have any intention of going to South Africa with any Danes for this year's tournament
-visit Christiania
-take lots of pictures
I think that's it for now. I'm going to attempt to shower in our ghetto bathroom then call it a night.
Good night & sweet dreams
